Genitori: se i vostri figli adolescenti passano un sacco di tempo al pc; se hanno la passione di inserirsi in tutte le discussioni; se si inventano identità finte, e cercano di portare fuori strada le discussioni, non sgridateli: si stanno preparando per le nuove professioni del futuro. Come scritto infatti da Daily Telegraph qui, infatti, la comunità europea sta allocando 2 milioni di euro per finanziare attività di monitoraggio e di influenza sui siti e sui blog che rivelano sentimenti anti-europei. In particolare:

“Particular attention needs to be paid to the countries that have experienced a surge in Euroscepticism,”

e

“Parliament’s institutional communicators must have the ability to monitor public conversation and sentiment on the ground and in real time, to understand ‘trending topics’ and have the capacity to react quickly, in a targeted and relevant manner, to join in and influence the conversation, for example, by providing facts and figures to deconstructing myths.”

Il leader dell’UKIP Paul Nuttal dice che questa iniziativa:

violate the neutrality of the EU civil service by turning officials into a “troll patrol”, stalking the internet to make unwanted and provocative political contributions in social media debates. Spending over a million pounds for EU public servants to become Twitter trolls in office hours is wasteful and truly ridiculous,”

Per aumentare la percezione positiva dell’Europa si faranno notevoli investimenti:

This year MEPs are to increase spending on promoting themselves ahead of European elections next year even as EU countries face an unprecedented period of fiscal austerity. Spending includes a £9.4 million instalment for a controversial new museum of Europe, an £82 million “House of European History” opening in 2015 to celebrate the EU’s “historical memory” and to “promote awareness of European identity”. Under the spending plans, cash for “seminars, symposia and cultural activities” will swell by 85 per cent, £2.5 million. Expenditure on “audio-visual information” will rise by 36 per cent, or £4.3 million. There will be 15 per cent increase in funding for the EU’s political parties, such as the European People’s Party (EPP), and spending on the parliament’s hi-tech visitor, centre the “parlamentarium”, will increase by nine per cent.

Quindi, se sarete coinvolti in discussioni senza fine con depistatori e disinformatori, sappiate che potrebbero essere stati pagati…. con i vostri soldi (cioè con le vostre tasse). E così, mentre cercate di convincere qualcuno, che voi ritenete in buona fede, sottraendo tempo alla famiglia, al lavoro, al vostro tempo libero, dall’altra parte della linea quello se ne sta beatamente facendo il suo lavoro, pagato con i soldi delle vostre tasse!!!!
